The favourite walking place for guests and residents of the town is the longest in Europe linden alley, stretching along the Uzh river. The alley has a length of more than two kilometers and numbers over three hundred trees. There are about a hundred kinds of linden trees, and they do not bloom at the same time. From May to July, Nezalezhnist and Studentska Embankments are smothered in lime blossom and smell this scent
Uzhgorod’s central and crowded pedestrian street, located in the historic centre of the town, got its name when the town was owned by the Italian Counts of Drughetti. Derived from Italian, the word "korzo" means "the street, along which people stroll". Along Korzo Street there are many cozy cafes and interesting shops, here one can often meet street musicians. On both sides of the street there are a lot of colorful courtyards.
Lovers of fine art have an opportunity to see rare collections of works of painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied art in the largest art museum of the region. Its collections contain more than 9 thousand exhibits – models of fine culture of different eras and national schools.

One of the best architectural ensembles of Uzhgorod – the Holy Cross Greek Catholic Cathedral and the Residence of the Bishops of Mukachevo – has been a visiting card of the Transcarpathian Regional Centre for more than one century. No landscape of the town can do without images of the Cathedral and the Residence.

Lovers of medieval history and architecture will be delighted with the Uzhgorod Castle. This is the main tourist attraction of the town, which has a thousand-year history. The founding of the Castle dates back to the 9th century and is associated with the legendary Prince Laborets. The Castle is home to the Transcarpathian Museum of Local Lore – the largest collection of monuments of history, ethnography and culture of the region.

The oldest skansen in Ukraine is located on almost 2 hectares of land at the foot of the Zamkova mountain. More than 30 unique monuments of folk architecture of the late 18th — early 20th centuries represent the people's construction and life of the Transcarpathians. Each house, manor, school or church is fully equipped with authentic products of joiners, coopers, potters, weavers and embroiderers. In total there are about 14 thousand exhibits.
