Welcome to Uzhgorod!

Uzhgorod is the heart of Transcarpathia as well as a special atmospheric town, which opens many opportunities and attractions for its guests during the summer season. The town is shrouded in the heady freshness of the Carpathians, thus creating comfortable conditions for a bright summer vacation. The proximity of the mountains attracts fans of mountain trekking to Uzhgorod. The Hotel Old CONTINENT offers not only a visit to the historical and cultural monuments of the ancient town, but also a day in the mountains accompanied by a professional instructor. After all, locals often repeat, “Only mountains can be better than mountains…”

The river Uzh flows through the whole town, dividing it into two historical parts. Along the right bank of the river stretches the largest linden alley in Europe. In summer, the crowns of perennial lindens save from the heat and give the opportunity to fully enjoy the coolness of the mountain river. The waterfront is a favourite vacation spot for both locals and guests of the town and creates excellent conditions for pleasant hiking or cycling. New comfortable bike paths with a length of more than 10 km laid the foundation for organizing bike tours along the river and the local park. The Hotel Old CONTINENT offers the services of a professional guide on cycling routes, as well as free rental of walking bikes for residents throughout the summer season.

After an active holiday, guests can enjoy the Three Graces summer terrace, immersed in the greenery of exotic plants, with its own unique atmosphere and refreshing microclimate. An updated author’s menu, refreshing cocktails and the quiet noise of the waterfall will fill the holiday with real comfort and relaxation.
